French Blue

April 28, 2016

A mass of unidentifiable globules, drips and splatters overwhelm and disfigure the sky of an otherwise serene scene of the Normandy coast. Unfortunately the original pigments are too sensitive to allow for cleaning with solvents and the millions of bits are firmly stuck and not soluble in water. Only a slow and steady scalpel can work the bits off to return the sky to it’s proper clear hue.
